About The Context

The Living Room Context is:

• a way to explore experientially the emerging new common consciousness in human cultural evolution and to act from within the paradigm shift in human thinking

• a growing community of people seeking personal and social change who come together to collaboratively change our own minds and the cultural mind we are part of. The community is spread over several geographical locations.

• the Living Room Context framework of some common working commitments and assumptions; and the circles, which are a simple systems mapping of the coercive and collaborative ecologies of thought and feeling and response that underlie everyday experience

• a growing body of writing – exploration of the Living Room framework and related ideas, experiences of people in the community, feedback, history of the community evolution.

• many kinds of active explorations and inquiries through various means and forms – whatever people are drawn to explore with whoever wants to join in, using and evolving the Living Room Context framework as background to the exploration.

• a growing body of hosts or conveners who take response-ability for calling groups and inquiries together, and holding the Context in any given group, interaction or space, within and outside of the Living Room community.

• an unfolding process of exploration involving questioning, experimenting, learning and feedback; connecting our learnings from different experiences and different locations; both a collective and an individual community-based venturing; creating and learning from our history together while looking out for new emergent possibilities.
